School closure
Please be aware, the school is closed on Friday 25th October and will reopen on Monday 4th November, after the half-term break.
Hair
Please could we send a gentle reminder that if your child's hair is long enough to be tied back, a hairband, hair bobble or hairclips etc. need to be used. This is for both safety reasons and to aid concentration in lessons.
Dyslexia Awareness Week
Last week, we celebrated Dyslexia Awareness Week in school. All children from year 1 upwards, learnt about dyslexia and completed some activities to highlight dyslexia awareness. They also learnt about famous people who have dyslexia and some statistics linked to children with dyslexia in schools. Some children who have a diagnosis of dyslexia chose to speak to their class about their experiences. The children enjoyed creating their own book covers and story ideas to celebrate the theme this year: 'What's your story?'
Website update
Following feedback from SEND parents, we have added some additional pages to the SEND section of the website. The subheadings at the side of the pages aim to ensure new information is clear. Please take a look!

The Parent Champion Programme
The Parent Champion programme is a great opportunity for parents to get involved in the community and support other parents. As a Parent Champion, you will be able to share your experiences, skills, and knowledge with other parents, and help them access the information and services they need. You will also benefit from the training, mentoring, and networking opportunities that the programme offers. By volunteering as a parent champion, you will make a positive difference in the lives of other parents and children and gain valuable skills and confidence for yourself. If you would like any further information or would like to become a Parent Champion, please contact us by emailing [email protected] or by visiting our website https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/parentchampionvolunteers
