National Teaching Assistant Appreciation Day 

This will take place on Friday 27th September. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the hard work and efforts of TAs. Schools across the UK participate in this event by celebrating their teaching assistant colleagues. Fundraising for The Big C

We are very excited to be supporting Saxon Crossfit gym as their members aim to complete a million lunges before the 14th September in aid of the Big C appeal. The children have been completing lunges in PE and during their daily mile this week. We have managed to lunge a whopping 20,627 times!!

Reading Champions 

If you have some free time each week and would like to offer your support with reading in school, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for Reading Champions across all year groups, so if you have a spare hour or two, please email the school office.

 

Parentkind fundraising 

The PTA has signed up to the new Parentkind / Asda rewards fundraiser.   

As one of the UK's largest federated charities, Parentkind has spent the last 68 years dedicated to supporting school fundraising. They are partnering with Asda on their Cashpot for Schools campaign. Asda is making millions of pounds available to donate to primary schools across the UK. Between 2nd September and 30th November 2024, when you shop with Asda using their Rewards app, you can choose a primary school to donate 0.5% of the value of your spend to. Plus, for every customer who chooses our school, Asda will put £1 into our Cashpot, and another £50 when our school's first opted-in customer spends in-store or online!
