Kidzone

Kidzone Out of School Club is registered with Ofsted; our registration number is EY359018. We provide care for 19 children between the ages of 4 and 11, primarily serving the children of Mulbarton Primary School, every day after school from 3.15 until 6 o’clock.

We welcome your child to Kidzone After School Club. We hope that you will find the child care provision beneficial. We aim to work on a ‘child centred’ basis, ensuring the welfare and best interests of the child are at the heart of all our aims, practices and policies.

Kidzone believes that all children and young people have the right to play. Play within the setting is freely chosen and personally directed by the children. The role of the play worker is to support play and ensure safety at all times. Whilst structured activities are available, children are responsible for their own play choices and are free to engage in whichever activity they choose.

We promote an equal and inclusive environment where all children are respected as individuals and their contributions are valued. Children are free to play with whomever they choose whenever they chose.

We aim to:

-      Provide a safe, caring and fun place to play at the end of the school day
-      Encourage fair play within a sharing and caring environment
-      Provide a happy, welcoming place where all children are valued
-      Work under the knowledge that every child is an individual and they will be treated as such
-      To help children be healthy
-      To have strong partnerships with parents
-      To have good links with the school
-      To encourage and extend all areas of the children’s development through play
-      To ensure the safety and welfare of each child

Admissions and Fees Policy

Registration form, inc medical details, photo permissions
The child will be able to attend the Club as soon as the completed forms are received. If no places are available you will be informed and the child’s name added to the waiting list. As soon as suitable places become available you will be informed.

Once booked, if a child does not attend for any reason, you will still be charged for this place. If you wish to cancel the place altogether, one month’s notice in writing is required.

Holidays and absences must still be paid for in order to retain the child’s place unless there are any extenuating circumstances such as hospital admission.

We will accept temporary or occasional bookings as long as there are places available. If a temporary place has been booked and is no longer required, the club must be given 48 hours notice. If notice is not given, the place will still be charged for.

Fee structure

Fees are charged at £7 per session, £6 per additional sibling.

The Club recognises that childcare can be costly, so we encourage eligible parents or carers to claim the childcare element of the Working Tax Credit. We are also registered to accept kiddivouchers, Edenred, Computershare, Care4, Fideliti childcare vouchers.

Fees are payable monthly in advance. Fees can be paid by cheque, electronic transfer, cash or direct debit.

Please note, Club times are 3.15 until 6pm. There is a charge of £5 for late collection, which will be added to the next invoice.

Payment of fees

Fees are reviewed annually by the trustees. The Club will consider requests for variation to payment terms on an individual basis. Anyone making these requests should contact the administrator, Lisa, at the earliest opportunity. Any queries regarding fees should be directed to the administrator. If fees are not paid by the due date, the Club will write to you requesting payment. This will incur an administration fee of £5, added to the invoice. If you are having difficulty making the payment on time we recommend that you make contact with the administrator as soon as possible. Where there is no explanation for repeated late payment, the administrator will contact you to discuss payment options. The administrator may issue a formal warning that continued late payment will result in your child’s place at the Club being withdrawn.

If the fees remain unpaid after all the above options have been explored, the Club may have to cancel the child’s place.

Staff and children are asked not to return to Kidzone until 24 hours after suffering from sickness or diarrhoea, or 48 hours if there is a suspected norovirus outbreak.

In accordance with Children’s Act regulations, the Play Leader will notify Ofsted of any child in Kidzone that is known to have an infectious illness.

The Play Leader will notify the parents/carers and staff of any notifiable infectious illness that has been experienced in the group.
