About Us

Mulbarton Primary School is a popular and growing two-form entry community school situated adjacent to the common in our picturesque Norfolk village. Every class has a fulltime teacher and teaching assistant and we are committed to quality first teaching. We have an established, skilled and enthusiastic team of staff and a full experienced Governing Body. The school is well supported by an active PTA.

We offer all children the opportunity to be happy, healthy and safe through an exciting but challenging curriculum. All staff work hard to ensure everyone achieves their best. We regularly include experiences to enhance learning such as visitors, out of school trips and themed days. Parents are included in their child's learning through weekly information sheets, home learning activities and reading cafes. We also encourage parents to help in school with various activities including clubs, reading and craft activities. Children are well behaved and enjoy coming to school.

The school hours are 9:00am to 3:15pm with extended school provision from 7:45am to 6pm. We open the doors at 8:45am.

Children should use the entrance nearest to their cloakroom to enter and leave school. No parent or child should enter from the car park side of the school first thing in the morning.

Compliments
Everybody likes to know when someone has been pleased with their service. It can help to boost morale and encourage staff, and it is useful to identify examples of good practice and to share them with others. If there is something that you think the school or an individual member of staff has done particularly well, perhaps something you have seen or a comment your child has made, please let us know by telephone, letter, email or in person. You can contact the member of staff concerned or let the headteacher know, who will in turn pass your compliment on.

Complaints
Sometimes things go wrong. We want to know about those things too. If your concern is confirmed, we will want to do all we can to put things right and to learn so that a similar concern does not arise in future. To find out what to do, the County Council guide leaflet is a good starting point (available from school or via this
link). The school’s full complaints procedure is here  (or ask in school).
