About Us

Mulbarton Primary School is a popular two-form entry community school situated adjacent to the common in a picturesque Norfolk village.

We have an experienced, skilled and enthusiastic staff with every class having a full time teacher and teaching assistant. We are committed to quality first teaching and offer all children the opportunity to be happy, healthy and safe through an exciting and engaging curriculum. Our challenge led learning enables all children to achieve their best whatever their skills or ability.

Experiences to enhance learning such as visitors, out of school trips and themed days are organised at least every half term. Parents are included in their child’s learning through curriculum maps, knowledge organisers, weekly blogs, home learning activities and learning cafes. We encourage parents to help in school with various activities including clubs, reading and craft activities.

Visitors to the school comment on the good behaviour of the children and their enthusiasm for learning. Children are well behaved and enjoy coming to school.

The Governing Body are supportive as well as challenging and work closely with the leadership team to monitor the quality of learning in the school. The school is also well supported by an active PTA.

The school hours are 8:45am to 3:15pm with extended school provision from 7:45am to 6pm. We open the doors at 8:30am.

Compliments
Everybody likes to know when someone has been pleased with their service. It can help to boost morale and encourage staff, and it is useful to identify examples of good practice and to share them with others. If there is something that you think the school or an individual member of staff has done particularly well, perhaps something you have seen or a comment your child has made, please let us know by telephone, letter, email or in person. You can contact the office, member of staff concerned or let the headteacher know, who will in turn pass your compliment on.

Complaints
Sometimes things go wrong. We want to know about those things too. If your concern is confirmed, we will want to do all we can to put things right and to learn so that a similar concern does not arise in future. The school’s full complaints procedure is here (or ask in school).
